Get the Chartping agent
The agent is a lightweight, read-only Windows app. It finds your MetaTrader terminals, reads your account state and alerts you as you approach the limits you set. It only reads — it can't place, modify or close an order, and it never has withdrawal access. Exchange and broker accounts don't need the agent at all — they connect with a read-only API key from the dashboard.

What you need
- · A Windows PC (or Windows VPS) where your trading terminals run.
- · MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5 — the setup wizard finds your terminals automatically.
- · Nothing else: no broker passwords with trade rights, no API keys with withdrawal permission — the agent is read-only by design.
Setup in three steps
Connect
For MetaTrader: install the read-only Chartping agent on your Windows machine or VPS — the setup wizard finds your MT4/MT5 terminals and handles the rest. For exchanges and brokers: paste a read-only API key; where the platform lets us check scope we reject a trade- or withdrawal-capable key, and Chartping never calls an order or withdrawal endpoint regardless.
Set your limits
Define your limits — daily loss, drawdown, margin level — each with an early-warning threshold and per-account overrides. Presets ship disabled: you confirm every value. Chartping never suggests a strategy or a number.
Get early warnings
As you approach a threshold, you get an early warning; on a breach, a critical alert — on your phone, your desktop, by SMS or voice call, or any webhook you choose. Critical alerts re-notify until you acknowledge them. You decide what to do next.
