Trust & security
We watch your accounts — we never touch them.
The biggest question for any tool that connects to a trading account is: what happens to my money? With Chartping, nothing. It’s read-only by design — and that’s something we build, not just promise.
Read-only, always
Chartping only reads your account. There is no code path that opens, closes or modifies an order. The MT4/MT5 component is a read-only reader — execution simply isn't part of the product.
No withdrawal access
We never ask for withdrawal permission, and Chartping exposes no withdrawal path at all. On exchanges where key scope is verifiable (Binance, Bybit, Deribit) a withdrawal- or trade-capable key is rejected at connect and re-checked on every poll; where scope can't be proven (OKX, Kraken and the other exchanges) the key is accepted but hard-flagged — and either way Chartping never calls an order or withdrawal endpoint. Broker tokens (OANDA, Alpaca, Tradier) are used strictly read-only, and Hyperliquid is watched from a public wallet address with no key at all. For MetaTrader, the agent reads through your terminal — there's no withdrawal capability to begin with. We can't move your money.
Device-bound agent connection
The agent talks to our servers over TLS, and it opens its live link with a cryptographic proof-of-possession (Ed25519) bound to your machine's own key — so a token intercepted in transit can't be used to open that link from anywhere else. Only your agent can speak for your accounts, and it can only ever send read-only state.
Keys encrypted, passwords never seen
Exchange API keys are encrypted at rest (AES-GCM). Your MetaTrader password never leaves your machine — the agent reads the terminal locally, so we never see or store it. Data is encrypted in transit everywhere.
No advice, no signals
Chartping doesn't tell you what to trade or suggest values. It evaluates the rules you defined and notifies you. That keeps you in control — and keeps Chartping a tool, not an adviser.
Built to stay out of the way
Because the agent uses no DLLs or sockets and never places trades, it's designed to coexist with the automation restrictions brokers and prop firms put on their accounts.
