Risk Disclosure
Effective 27 July 2026 · Version 2026-06
This document tells you, plainly, what Chartping is, what it is not, what it cannot guarantee, and where the risk stays with you. Please read it in full before connecting a trading account.
In short: Chartping watches the risk thresholds you set and attempts to warn you early. It is best-effort: it does not guarantee that any alert will be delivered, that any rule breach will be prevented, that any challenge will be passed, or any financial outcome. It never places orders, never closes positions and never touches your funds. All trading decisions, all risk management and all consequences are entirely your own.
In this document, "best-effort" means we attempt the described action but do not warrant, guarantee or undertake that it will occur or succeed. It imposes no "best endeavours" obligation on TrendSoft Ltd.
1. What this tool is — monitoring and alerting only
Chartping is an independent monitoring and early-warning tool. It connects to your trading accounts on a strictly read-only basis, observes account data such as equity, open positions, drawdown and margin level, evaluates it against risk thresholds you define, and attempts to notify you across your chosen channels as those thresholds are approached or crossed.
What it is not. It is not a broker, not a prop firm, not an exchange, not a portfolio manager and not an executing system: it has no order-placement path and transmits no instruction of any kind to any broker or exchange. It does not trade on your behalf. Where you use message routing, Chartping carries messages you or a publisher you authorise send to destinations you choose — it does not author, interpret or act on them; what your own software does on receiving one is determined by that software.
Not financial advice. Nothing Chartping provides is investment advice, financial advice, a personal recommendation, a trading signal or a strategy suggestion. It does not tell you what to trade, when, how much to risk, or which thresholds to set. Any risk-template presets shown during onboarding are neutral starting points you choose to accept or change — not advice, not an endorsement, and not a representation that they match any prop firm's current rules.
Not a regulated firm. TrendSoft Ltd is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority or any other financial regulator. Chartping does not carry on any regulated activity: it does not provide investment advice or personal recommendations, does not manage portfolios, does not arrange or execute transactions, and does not hold client money or assets.
All trading decisions, all risk-management decisions and all responsibility for the operation and outcome of your accounts rest entirely with you.
2. Best-effort — no guarantee of delivery or outcome
Alert generation and delivery are best-effort. Chartping makes no guarantee that any alert will be generated, delivered, delivered in time, delivered to a particular channel, or delivered at all.
When account data indicates one of your thresholds is being approached or crossed, Chartping attempts to alert you. Triggering an alert is not the same as preventing an event. Chartping does not prevent, and does not undertake to prevent, any rule breach, limit breach, drawdown event, margin call, position liquidation, account closure or loss.
Chartping does not guarantee that:
- any rule or limit breach will be avoided or prevented;
- any prop-firm challenge or evaluation will be passed;
- any funded account will be retained, or any payout achieved;
- any loss will be avoided, reduced or recovered; or
- any other financial, trading or account outcome will be achieved.
All such outcomes depend on your trading decisions, market conditions and factors outside our control.
Periodic snapshots, not real-time. Alerts are based on periodic snapshots of data observed from your account; they are not a continuous live feed. There is inherent latency between a change in your account and any resulting alert. Fast-moving markets, gaps, news events and slippage can change your account state materially before, during or after a snapshot — and therefore before any alert can reach you.
Approximation, not authority. Values shown or evaluated by Chartping may differ from the authoritative figures held by your broker, exchange or prop firm. Their figures — not ours — govern your account.
3. What monitoring depends on, including our own service
Your terminal and agent must be running. For accounts monitored via the Chartping agent and a MetaTrader Expert Advisor, monitoring works only while your terminal is open, the EA is running, the agent is running and the machine has working connectivity. If the terminal is closed, the EA stopped, the agent stopped, the machine asleep or off, or connectivity lost, monitoring stops for that account. For accounts monitored via a read-only broker or exchange API, monitoring depends on that platform's API being available and your credential remaining valid: if it expires, is revoked, is rate-limited, or the platform's API is down, monitoring stops for that account.
The "monitoring stopped" notice is itself best-effort. When Chartping detects that monitoring has stopped — for example a lost agent heartbeat — it attempts to send you a monitoring-stopped alert and to show an offline indicator in the portal. Both are best-effort and indicative: the indicator depends on the same connectivity and infrastructure as the alerts and may itself be delayed or stale. You are responsible for keeping your terminal, agent and connectivity running.
Our own service can be unavailable. Monitoring also stops when Chartping's service is itself unavailable, degraded, suspended, paused (including while we contain a security or operational incident) or undergoing maintenance. In that state no monitoring-stopped notification can be generated, because that signal is produced and delivered by the same service; alerts generated while the service is unavailable or paused may expire before delivery and never reach you.
Silence is not a guarantee of safety. The absence of an alert does not mean your account is safe, that no threshold has been crossed, or that monitoring is working. Always verify your account status directly with your broker or prop firm.
Channels and devices. Delivery depends on third-party channels and on your own devices and settings — push services, messaging platforms, SMS carriers, your device being on and in coverage, your notification permissions, quiet hours you configure, and channel quotas. Any of these can delay, drop or block an alert.
Acknowledgement, and why escalation is finite. For critical alerts, if you do not acknowledge, Chartping attempts a limited number of additional reminders on your enabled channels, each still subject to your settings and plan. After the final reminder, or once the alert is no longer fresh, reminders stop even if the alert remains unacknowledged. You acknowledge an alert using the Acknowledge action in the Chartping portal or mobile app; tapping a push notification opens the alert feed but does not by itself acknowledge it. Delivery is not acknowledgement, and the end of reminders does not mean the underlying condition has cleared.
4. Trading risk
Trading leveraged products such as forex, CFDs and other margined or derivative instruments carries a high level of risk and can result in the loss of all of your capital — and, depending on the instrument and your broker, potentially more than your initial deposit. It is not suitable for everyone.
You should not trade with money you cannot afford to lose. You are solely responsible for assessing whether trading, and any particular trade or strategy, is appropriate for you, and for seeking independent professional advice where appropriate. Past performance, back-tested results and hypothetical results are not a reliable indicator of future results.
Trading under a prop-firm evaluation or funded programme carries its own risks, including loss of paid challenge fees, loss of a funded account and forfeiture of unpaid profits where the firm's rules are breached. Those risks are inherent to the arrangement between you and your prop firm and exist independently of Chartping.
5. Prop-firm rules are your responsibility
Chartping does not know, and does not represent that it knows, the current rules of any prop firm, broker or exchange. The thresholds monitored are the ones you enter and maintain. It is your responsibility to read and keep up to date with your firm's actual rules — daily loss limits, maximum or trailing drawdown, drawdown type, permitted hours, reset times, time zones and any other condition — to configure Chartping to reflect them correctly, and to update it whenever the rules, your account or your programme change.
We do not verify your thresholds against any firm's rules and are not responsible for a mismatch between what you configured and what your firm actually applies. If you misconfigure a threshold, omit a rule or fail to update it, Chartping may not warn you of the relevant event. Your firm's own systems and determinations are authoritative as to whether a rule has been breached; our view is indicative only.
Any reference to a prop firm, broker, exchange or platform is descriptive only and implies no affiliation, endorsement or approval.
6. Liability for missed, delayed or undelivered alerts
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TrendSoft Ltd is not liable for any loss, damage, cost or consequence arising from an alert that is missed, delayed, not generated, not delivered, delivered to the wrong channel, incomplete or inaccurate, where this results from the technical dependencies, third-party services, market conditions, connectivity, device or configuration matters described in this document, from other circumstances outside our reasonable control, or from your own trading or configuration decisions. Any residual liability for a failure caused by our own failure to exercise reasonable care and skill is not excluded, but is limited as set out in the Terms of Service.
The same applies to interruption, suspension, degradation or unavailability of the monitoring or notification service, including any period during which monitoring has stopped — whether or not a monitoring-stopped notification was delivered.
Chartping does not make trading decisions. To the maximum extent permitted by law, TrendSoft Ltd is not liable for any trading loss, breach of a prop-firm or broker rule, loss of a challenge fee, loss of a funded account, missed payout, liquidation, margin call or other financial outcome. We also rely on third parties — your broker, exchange or prop firm, data sources, app stores, and hosting, payment, messaging, email, push and telephony providers — as well as any notification endpoint you choose, and are not responsible for their acts, omissions, outages, latency or errors.
This Risk Disclosure is read together with our Terms of Service and Privacy Notice; the warranty disclaimers, liability limits and governing-law provisions there apply in full. Nothing here excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including, if you are a consumer, your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
7. Read-only and no custody — what that means, and what it does not
Chartping does not hold or custody your funds, and its systems contain no order, trading or withdrawal path: it never sends any order, trade or withdrawal instruction to any broker or exchange, never opens or closes positions, and never connects to your broker or exchange for the purpose of trading.
Where API keys are connected, you must supply read-only keys and must never supply a key with withdrawal authority. Where the platform lets us verify a key's permissions, we check them at connection time and reject keys provably capable of trading or withdrawals. Where the platform's API includes trading or withdrawal functions but does not allow us to verify scope, the connection is flagged as unverified and you remain responsible for ensuring the key is read-only. Some supported platforms issue credentials that cannot be scoped at all; for those, the read-only limitation is enforced by the service performing read operations only, and no unverified flag is shown. If you connect a key carrying trading or withdrawal permissions despite this requirement, the risks arising from that excess permission rest with you.
Because our systems contain no order or withdrawal path, we never use your credentials to trade or move funds — and with a read-only key, we could not. That does not mean Chartping prevents losses, guarantees outcomes or assumes responsibility for your trading. Read-only-by-design is a security property, not a promise of any trading result. We never touch your funds; equally, we are not responsible for your losses.
Any crypto-exchange integration is passive: it is enabled only at your request, and we do not market crypto-assets to consumers in the United Kingdom or the United Arab Emirates. Crypto-assets are high-risk and largely unregulated in many jurisdictions; their value can be highly volatile and you may lose all of your invested capital.
